Christmas tree time!

We got our Christmas tree yesterday from a company called Booger Mountain. Aside from the glowing reviews of their trees (all local, in fact) and the convenience (less than a mile away), the name is pretty much incentive enough. We picked a lovely, narrow tree with soft bristles. As you can see, it fits neatly into the corner.

Tree decorating is one of the most exciting things ever - it is a feast for the senses. The smell of the tree, of course, is added to by the familiar yet oddly exotic smell of dust and storage from the box of decorations and lights. Then there is the music - we tend to favor the Ultra-Lounge Christmas Cocktails CD. For an easy hour of nostalgia-steeped music, you can't do much better than this disc. Follow that with cookies and cocktails (we tend to go with Brandy Alexanders) and there is magic in the air!
