This is our brand-new camera in action! One day we'll get a nice, $700 digital SLR camera that we can turn into an obsessive hobby, but for now, a point-and-shoot camera that doesn't suck is good enough.
We got a Canon PowerShot Digital Elph (cute, eh?) with 10 mega pixels - a slight improvement over our last camera with 4 mega pixels. And although I am clearly giddy about all of the features that the new toy has to offer, the best may just be that it takes good pictures in lower light than the last camera did. Our old camera practically required direct sunlight in order to take decent shots - this worked out just fine when we took pictures outdoors, but not so fantastic indoors.
This camera was the end result of about a week's worth of research, review reading and product comparison shopping. Hopefully all of that hard work paid off. Anyway, I will try to have more photos up here, and more often. For now, please enjoy the blossoms of spring and curious dogs.
